Originally from Germany, I came to study here, in beautiful Scotland, over six years ago. I now hold a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Health Psychology, and I use the understanding gained in these courses every day in my yoga teaching.
During my undergraduate years, I started to practice Forrest Yoga to release stress, battle anxiety and relieve lower back pain. Soon I was attending two classes each day and also practicing in my spare time. When I finally found myself attending yoga teacher training with Ana Forrest, it was a life-changing experience.
I introduced yoga into every aspect of my daily life – both on and off the mat. Having suffered from excruciating lower back pain since my teenager years, Forrest yoga has helped me live almost completely free from pain and has given me the confidence to share its magic with my students.
I adore the strength that Forrest Yoga brings to mind and body. It teaches us to feel deeply, bringing awareness to every breath. It even gave me the tools to work through paralysing anxiety. The deep sense of body awareness Forrest Yoga awakens leads to intelligent sequencing that focuses on creating space and healing in the body. I strive to share what Forrest Yoga brings, the feelings of courage and freedom, with my students.
